Accessibility Statement
Effective date: 9 June 2025
Our commitment
Redermatology is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We aim to comply with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA wherever feasible.
Measures we take
Use semantic HTML 5 and descriptive headings to enhance screen-reader navigation.
Provide text alternatives (alt text) for meaningful images.
Ensure sufficient colour contrast between text and background.
Enable keyboard-only navigation for menus and links.
Avoid content that flashes more than three times per second.
Test the site periodically with automated tools and manual checks.
Ongoing improvements
Accessibility is an ongoing process. As we publish new content or introduce new features, we review them for WCAG compliance and make adjustments when barriers are identified. Some older pages may not yet meet the same standards; we are working to update them.
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, certain third-party elements—such as embedded Amazon widgets or advertising if enabled—may not fully conform to WCAG guidelines. We do not control the code of these external services, but we welcome feedback if they create difficulties.
Feedback and contact
If you encounter any accessibility barrier on Redermatology.com or need content in an alternative format, please let us know:
Email: support@redermatology.com
Subject line: “Accessibility feedback”
We aim to respond within five business days and will do our best to resolve issues promptly.
Compliance monitoring
The site is reviewed at least twice a year using a combination of automated auditors (e.g., Lighthouse, WAVE) and manual keyboard-only testing. Updates to this statement are posted on this page.
