Cookie Policy

Effective date: 9 June 2025

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow a site to recognise your browser, remember preferences, measure traffic and deliver advertisements.

2. Cookies we use and why

Strictly-necessary cookies

Keep the Site running—load balancing, security safeguards and remembering whether you accepted cookies. These cookies cannot be disabled because the Site will not function without them.

Analytics cookies (Google Analytics)

Help us understand, in aggregate, how visitors find and navigate the Site so we can improve content. Google Analytics assigns a random identifier to your browser; we do not receive personal identities.

Advertising cookies (Google AdSense)

Serve advertisements, limit how often the same advert appears, measure ad performance and, with your consent, present ads that match your interests. You can also manage ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com.

Affiliate-tracking cookies (Amazon Associates)

Whenever you click an Amazon link on the Site, Amazon places a cookie (for example, “ad-id”) to record any qualifying purchase so we may receive a commission. We do not see your order details.

3. How to control cookies

When you first visit the Site a banner appears with two buttons:

“Accept” – allows all cookies (strictly-necessary, analytics, advertising, affiliate).

“Decline” – allows only the strictly-necessary cookies required for basic operation.

If you later wish to change this choice, clear cookies in your browser settings and reload the Site; the banner will reappear so you can select a different option. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies at any time.

4. Cookie lifespan

Strictly-necessary cookies usually expire within twelve months.

Amazon affiliate cookies expire after twenty-four hours (or up to ninety days if you add an item to your cart).

Google Analytics cookies follow Google’s default fourteen-month retention.

Google AdSense cookies may persist for up to twenty-four months and renew on repeat visits.

5. Data sharing

Limited data derived from cookies may be processed by:

Google LLC (United States) for analytics and advertising.

Amazon Services LLC (United States) for affiliate tracking.

Both companies may transfer data internationally under their respective compliance frameworks (e.g., EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework).

6. Updates to this policy

We may revise this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in technology, legislation or the cookies we use. Any revision will appear here with a new effective date. Continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

7. Contact

If you have questions about this Cookie Policy or your personal data, email support@redermatology.com. Personal medical or financial advice is not provided via this address.
